Good Shepherd’s ministry opportunities are spread into six pillars, each guided by a staff member. You can explore each ministry area below, or choose from the drop-down menu on the left-hand side of the page (sorted alphabetically).
Congregational CareWe use and explore these ministries to live out our Christian call to care for one another the way Christ first cared for us. |
Faith FormationGod is always forming and deepening our faith. In these ministries, we seek to grow in our Biblical knowledge, Lutheran identity, and general understanding of the ways God is at work in our lives. |
Mission & OutreachGod’s mission is to the world – both to serve and to draw people to Christ. In this hope Good Shepherd’s mission ministry is both local and global in seeking to embody Christ to others. |
Liturgical LifeThese ministries create and equip servant musicians using individual musical gifts in a comprehensive, intergenerational program to enable the full, conscious, and active worship participation of the community in the beauty of Christ’s holiness. |
Resource MinistryThese ministries undergird and support the administration and organization of Good Shepherd, enabling staff and congregation members to fulfill our Gospel call. |
Youth & Young AdultsWe work to develop programs that recognize, respect, and affirm the importance of youth and young adults at Good Shepherd so that we can draw them in to actively participate in as much of the life of the church as possible. |
What is there to do at GSLC?
There are many skills and passions that are vital to the ministry areas Good Shepherd supports. If you are asking yourself, “What is God calling me to do,” spend some time browsing through the various pages of this section of the website or contact any one on the staff - they will make sure you get plugged in right where you will serve and be served the most.
How can I get involved?
If you feel called to provide leadership for any group or ministry activity, contact the chair or the particular group or contact any staff person.
Thanks be to God for the gifts and skills for ministry!
